Vision of the Young Republicans

I was recently asked what my vision of the Stamford Young Republicans is, and here it is.

The vision is to engage more people, broaden participation both among those that currently are involved and by bringing more people and ideas in. With the extreme actions being taken today under the democrats, this is the time to attract people with a clear and inclusive party.
From government control of 2/3 our automakers, many of our banks, possibly our healthcare and the explosive spending on pet and pork projects we are running our economy into the ground in the same way we saw our housing markets and values destroyed.

The youth of our communities need to ensure our voices ard heard, and we are comfortable with those representing us as the decisions they make will affect us and our children for decades to come.

For this reason we will continue to strive to bring those individuals that do represent us, as well as those that seek to directly into dialogues with our members, and I encourage everyone to participate in the opportunities to speak with them, as we did with Lt. Gov. Fedele, Sen. L. Scott Frantz and Rep. Fred Camillo at out first wine tasting last week and at our next scheduled event.
Please bring friends of any political persuasion to these events as that is the only way we can grow our ranks. After all, in a thoughtful discussion of ideas, we have nothing at all to fear.

Equally important is to have more people participate in our blogs and discussion groups. Nobody wants or needs an echo chamber, and todays issues are certainly complicated enough to warrant thoughtful discussion znd debate.

I have become absolutely convinced that if we come together and everyone reaches out a little bit, we can truly do amazing things. This motto has driven us to saving dozens of families homes, brought thousands of dollars of essential supplies to our men and women serving abroad and can certainly bring us the best leadership possible here at home.

This is our time, it is our responsibility to set the course for our families and to ensure that they grow up in the same America that we, our our parents, and granparents did. President Obama and Congressman Himes and those who think as they do believe we either can't make those choices, or we don't want to. If we prove them correct, and allow Washington to make all of our choices for us, God help us, but we were warned!
